Right after the dam we headed to my parents favorite hike, Anniversary Narrows.
This was an unintentional "can you hear me now?" ad.
The layers of the rocks were fascinating to me.
This area used to be a borax mine and there were a couple of small tunnels remaining that used to house train tracks for the removal of the mined borax.

There was a short walk, about a half a mile, then we reached the narrows.
A quick group photo. Gemma stayed home with Aunt Anne and Uncle Wayne. Poor girl, we ditched her a lot this trip. Someday she'll get to hang with the big kids!

Sutton was so sweet to give Ezra a hand without even being asked.
We had a little rest and snack at the end before heading back.
On the way home we spotted a bunch of mountain goats. Then we stopped for lunch at a diner in Boulder City where I had the best veggie burger of my life. I have got to recreate it!

wow-- that hike looked really cool. i've only seen narrows like that in Utah!
when you recreate that veggie burger, i want the recipe. what do you think was in it?
